’This latest innovation will help our brokers transform their digital interaction with their customers,’ says chief executive
Software house Open GI (OGI) has acquired insurtech Hug Hub’s digital platform to help brokers further enhance the way they interact digitally with customers.
The platform provides firms with advanced digital portal capability and a fully self-service option that allows consumers to quote and purchase any kind of insurance product.
OGI said that this would help brokers with their digital transformation amid changing consumer expectations and operational pressures.
Simon Badley, chief executive of Open GI, said “We’re very excited to welcome Hug Hub’s digital platform to OGI.
“We’re also thrilled to be joined by a group of Hug Hub’s digital platform specialists as we start to integrate the solution into our platform portfolio.
“This latest innovation will help our brokers transform their digital interaction with their customers and increase self-sufficiency.”
Integration
The platform will be initially integrated into OGI’s Mobius platform and subsequently become available across OGI’s other platforms.

“The addition of the Hub Hub’s solution will indeed extend Mobius’s digital capability, as well as our other broking platforms,” Badley said.
Jonathan Davey, chief executive of Hug Hub, added: “Having spent over 35 years in the insurance and technology industry, I’ve always admired what OGI have built and I believe that its acquisition of Hug Hub’s digital platform technology continues its track record of delivering transformational change and innovation in insurtech.”
