’We have to evolve with our clients and brokers in order to respond to their needs,’ says new top boss
Insurance provider Thomas Miller has launched a new standalone managing general agent (MGA) specialising in the energy sector.
Called Navata, the business will underwrite a range of renewable energy, power, onshore and offshore oil and gas risks, as well as provide marine insurance products.
It will use S&P A+ and AA- rated capacity.
Navata already has 31 employees, including 13 underwriters, and is led by chief executive Bernt Hellman.
Hugh Titcomb, Thomas Miller group chief executive, said: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of Navata and anticipate its structure, experienced team and existing business relationships will enable it to develop and grow significantly in a dynamic marketplace.”
