The firm is also backed by Mission Underwriters
A new MGA specialising in warranty, accident and health and income protection is set to open for business in the coming weeks.
Called Carrow Insurance, the firm will focus on products in the UK and Europe and be supported by A- rated capacity via Accelerant.
It will be led by Ronan Conboy, who was most recently the chief executive at AmTrust International.
His career has also seen him work as an underwriter at RSA and Chubb.
At Carrow, he plans to leverage a network of brokers and distribution partners and expand the business into additional lines as part of its broader growth strategy for 2025.
Backing
The firm is backed by Mission Underwriters – a private equity firm that works to help underwriters create and manage their own specialist insurance MGA.

Adrian Morgan, chief executive at Mission Underwriters UK and Europe, said: “Mission doesn’t just invest in businesses, we bet on visionaries who can reshape the insurance landscape.
“Conboy’s track record of driving global growth at AmTrust International isn’t just impressive, it’s exactly the kind of disruptive thinking the industry needs. He’s not here to follow the market, but to push it forward.
“With Carrow, we’re not looking for incremental gains. We’re backing Conboy to challenge the status quo and deliver the kind of value that makes clients and competitors alike sit up and take notice.”
