’I still had a burning desire inside to setup and run another insurance brokerage,’ says founder
Insurance Connections – a new commercial insurance broker – has been launched in the UK.
The firm was founded by insurance broking expert Nathan Walton and has been backed by The Broker Investment Group (TBIG).
It will target clients ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to large corporates.
“Insurance Connections specialise in the full spectrum of commercial insurance products and have a wealth of experience across all industry sectors,” its new website said.
“We source business insurance policies from our large panel of UK-based underwriters and our clients range from sole traders, SME’s through to multi-site corporates.”
Walton experience
Walton decided to found the broker after launching JSW Insurance in 2003, a commercial insurance broker that was sold to The County Group 10 years later.

He then helped The County Group grow its gross written premium (GWP) to £100m before becoming an insurance consultant.
During this time, he has secured relationships with insurers and amassed a list of connections.
“After some highly enjoyable insurance consultancy projects for several high-profile clients, I still had a burning desire inside to setup and run another insurance brokerage,” he said.
“The Broker Investment Group have provided financial support in the brokerage of which I am very grateful for their backing. “
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
