’I’m incredibly excited about the journey ahead and the opportunities,’ says managing director
Commercial broking group Coversure has launched a new broker specialising in health insurance in Bournemouth.
Called Coversure Bournemouth, the firm aims to provide clients with greater access to a range of policies, including for private medical, income protection and employee benefits.
It will be led by Matt Gibbs, who has taken up the role of managing director.
He said: “I’m incredibly excited about the journey ahead and the opportunities to help support both individuals and businesses with their health insurance and employee benefits.
“Over the last few months, I have met some amazing people from Coversure who have already made me feel part of the family. I look forward to meeting many more.”
‘Better outcomes’
Coversure has over 90 offices across the country that provide commercial propositions for business, property and motor clients.

Gibbs has helped the firm open a new broker dedicated to the health market after seeing “the impact that access to the right private health cover could have on individuals and families”.
The new firm is based in Christchurch, Dorset.
Gibbs said: “Joining Coversure with a proposition in health insurance and employee benefits helps enhance their offering and, at the same time, helps us deliver better outcomes to our existing clients.”

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
