’Investing in the next generation is essential for the long-term success of our market,’ says chief executive

The Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA) has appointed Jack Harding has its new Next Gen Committee chair.

Harding succeeds Kajal Pankhania, director at MGA incubator DA Strategy, after a two and a half-year tenure.

Following a selection process held in January 2025, Harding was confirmed as the new Next Gen Committee chair.

He will be responsible for leading the committee as it aims to engage, represent and support the next generation of professionals in the MGA market.

Mike Keating, chief executive at the MGAA, said: “Under Pankhania’s outstanding leadership, the group has become a vibrant hub of activity, setting standards and fostering best practices that will benefit the industry for years to come.

“We are delighted to welcome Harding and are confident he will continue to build on this momentum, ensuring talent, engagement with other market Next Gen groups, training and advocacy remain at the heart of everything we do.

“Investing in the next generation is essential for the long-term success of our market.”

Experience

Harding is a senior underwriter at Miramar Underwriting and became an MGAA Next Gen Committee Member in August 2021.

According to the MGAA, Harding is “passionate about education, networking and fostering strong insurer partnerships”.

Harding said: “It is a great privilege to take on this role at such a pivotal time for the MGAA Next Gen group.

“The next generation of professionals are not just the future of the MGA sector – they are its most valuable resource today. This initiative is critical to fostering the skills, networks and opportunities that will enable young talent to thrive.

“I look forward to working with the committee to build on Pankhania’s inspiring leadership and to champion the voices of emerging leaders across our market.”
