Managing general agent (MGA) Giant Insurance has revealed that it has opened a new office in London.

The new space, which is based in Fenchurch, will be headed up by former Ardonagh Advisory and Thames Underwriting head of construction Jamie Willby.

It is the fifth office Giant has opened, with it also having locations in Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and Belfast.

Paul Russell, managing director at Giant, said that “the London office will give us better access to the brokers and capacity in the southern geographic”.

“This is an area with huge potential for Giant,” he said.

“Jamie is a fantastic addition to the team and brings a wealth of experience and relationships to the branch.”

Giant are an independently owned MGA offering bespoke solutions via a number of ‘A’ rated and Lloyd’s backed binders.
