’This expansion allows us to offer a more comprehensive and innovative product range,’ says appointee
Bspoke Group has announced the launch of its new property owners division.
The new arm, which will target landlords and buy-to-let investors, covers single site commercial properties, as well as those that are mixed commercial and residential let.
The proposition will include provision for non-standard risks and certain risks up to £15m, while there is also an option to write larger properties above this limit subject to requirements.
The division will be led by managing director Wayne Tonge, who brings more than 20 years of specialist experience in the property sector to the role.
He was most recently managing director at Barbon Insurance Group.
Speaking about his new role, he said: “I’m excited to lead this new chapter for Bspoke, building on our proven success in the property sector.
“This expansion allows us to offer a more comprehensive and innovative product range, tailored to meet the evolving needs of our brokers.
“Ultimately, we want to provide them with standout products that will help them to clearly differentiate themselves in this competitive marketplace.”
’Pivotal role’
Tonge will work with underwriting manager Kieran Molloy and report directly to Bspoke Commercial managing director Nick Grazier.

Grazier said: “Together with Molloy and the wider Bspoke Commercial team, Tonge will play a pivotal role in developing and launching an expanded property owners product.
“We’re thrilled to have him on board at a time of significant opportunity in the market.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
