The broker has also appointed a new international corporate and commercial leader
Marsh has appointed Alistair Brighton as its new UK chief executive for corporate and commercial business.
Brighton will succeed Alistair Fraser, who is moving into the newly created role of international corporate and commercial leader.
Brighton currently serves as the UK sales leader for Marsh, a position he has held since January 2022.
He will take up his new position on 1 January 2025 and have overall responsibility for Marsh’s small and mid-market clients across the UK.
When the appointee takes up his new position, he will report to Marsh McLennan’s UK chief executive Chris Lay.
Lay said: “Brighton’s leadership in the UK insurance market and commitment to client service and innovation make him a natural choice to lead UK corporate and commercial, as we continue to help our clients tackle the unique challenges they face and capitalise on future opportunities.”
Fraser’s role
Meanwhile, Fraser will focus on developing Marsh’s services and propositions for small and mid-market organisations internationally in his new role.

He will also work closely with leaders across Marsh McLennan to deliver health and workplace propositions according to client size, industry specialism and geographical reach.
Fraser, who will be based in London, will report to Marsh McLennan international chief executive Flavio Piccolomini.
Piccolomini said: “Small and mid-market clients currently face complex and increasingly interconnected risk exposures stemming from global volatility, including supply chain disruption, access to capital and cashflow and talent retention.
