Broker says it is expanding its cyber team as ’cyber risk remains an urgent, volatile and evolving challenge’
Broking giant Marsh has appointed Shannan Fort as its new international cyber product leader.
Fort will take responsibility for product innovation, commercialisation and services that support clients in developing risk management strategies.
She will also work with Marsh McLennan’s cyber risk experts to provide technical product support and training to clients globally.
The appointee will be based in London and report to Kelly Butler, UK cyber leader, as well as Gregory Eskins, global cyber insurance centre leader.
Eskins said Marsh was expanding its cyber team as “cyber risk remains an urgent, volatile and evolving challenge”.
“Many organisations continue to strive towards building effective and efficient cyber risk mitigation and insurance programmes that will protect their people and assets in the event of a critical cyber event,” he added.
Experience
Fort will bring over 16 years’ international experience to the role.

She joins from McGill and Partners, where she was most recently a partner within the financial lines and cyber space.
The appointee also worked at Aon for 13 years in various leadership roles across New York and London, including cyber product development leader for its global broking centre.
“Shannan will play a central role in advancing cyber risk management and insurance solutions in support of our clients’ need to address these rapidly evolving cyber threats and capitalise on the possibilities presented by new and emerging technologies,” Eskins said.
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
