’His experience will be crucial to helping ensure our product offering, conduct and risk management will be consistent with our strategy,’ says chief executive
Philip Byrne has left his role as group head of compliance at Markerstudy.
Byrne took up the position in July 2023 after spending a year as director of risk and compliance at BGL Insurance, which is part of Markerstudy.
He has now left Markerstudy to join life insurance broker Reassured as its new chief risk and compliance officer.
The role will see Byrne take responsibility for his new firm’s approach to governance and risk management.
He said: “I’m looking forward to joining Reassured at this stage in the company’s growth.
“Working with Reassured’s capable teams to continuously develop and strengthen its risk and compliance infrastructure will be key to the company’s drive for efficiency, all while maintaining the highest standards of operational integrity and safeguarding customers’ interests.”
Mark Townsend, chief executive at Reassured, added: “Byrne’s experience in the financial services market will be crucial to helping ensure our product offering, conduct and risk management will be consistent with our strategy.
“His ability to align clarity of purpose to our strategic goals will be key in Reassured’s next stages of development.”
