Bridge Specialty Group has revealed that it is unifying three of its London-based brokers under a new banner.
The move will see Lonmar Global Risks, Decus Insurance Brokers and BdB all be brought together to form Bridge Specialty International.
It will launch in December 2024 with the rebranding of Lonmar. Decus will be integrated in 2025, with the UK-regulated entities of BdB following.
Bridge Specialty Group has brought together the three businesses in a bid to expand its international capabilities.
Tim Coles, who will serve as chief executive at Bridge Specialty International, said: “Our vision is to create a new force in the London and international markets.
“By integrating our three London-based businesses, we are harnessing our collective strengths and building a strong platform from which to achieve this.
“While London and Europe are our priority focus, we are also actively growing our reach in other European and Asian markets.”
The businesses
Lonmar was formed in 2018 through the merger of Lonmar Global Risks and Ropner Insurance Services.

It serves a global customer base in over 70 countries, offering access to specialist underwriters and insurance capacity in London and other international markets.
Decus, meanwhile, was established in 2008 and offers propositions across a range of risks, while BdB was founded in 1993 and specialises in providing London market capacity to its underwriting operations and coverholders.
Coles said that “attracting top talent from the market to complement and build out current and future capabilities will be key to our future expansion”.
He added: “Our collaborative culture, ability to take a long-term strategic view and momentum across our unified group make us an extremely attractive proposition for anyone who wants to make a difference.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
