’He will provide invaluable insight and market intelligence,’ says firm
Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) has appointed Andrew Jackson as its new global head of business development and market management.
A statement released yesterday (4 January 2024) said that Jackson will oversee the distribution of insurance solutions to LSM brokers and clients.
He will also develop and manage the execution of the global distribution strategy for LSM’s target markets.
The firm is making the move as part of plans to bolster relationships with broker partners globally.
“He will provide invaluable insight and market intelligence as LSM continues to strengthen and develop new relationships with brokers and clients across global insurance markets,” it added.
Experience
Jackson, who will be based in London, will bring more than 40 years of industry experience to the role.

He joins LSM from WTW, where he was most recently the firm’s global head of carrier management.
In his new role, Jackson will report to Phil Hobbs, president and managing director of LSM, and sit on the executive team.
“I am delighted to welcome Andrew to our leadership team,” Hobbs said.
“His vast, combined broking and underwriting experience will be an enormous asset to us as we build on our existing relationships with clients and brokers.
“We look forward to the significant contribution Andrew will make to delivering LSM’s goals in 2024 and beyond.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
