’Challenges with attracting and retaining talent have been consistently raised amongst our community,’ says claims director
The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) has launched a new claims awards programme to recognise talent across the Lloyd’s market.
With talent acquisition and retention remaining a challenge across the industry, the initiative forms part of the LMA’s strategy to diversify the claims talent pipeline.
The LMA Claims Awards will celebrate achievements across seven categories, including Claims Innovation, Rising Star (Adjusting and Operations), Significant Contribution, Future Leader, Claims In Action and the LMA Claims Committee Chair Award.
Winners will be announced at an awards presentation on 15 May 2025.

With the LMA recognising and developing talent, it hopes to inspire the next generation of claims specialists and reinforce the profession’s value within the broader insurance ecosystem.
Janine Powell, claims director at the LMA, said: “Challenges with attracting and retaining talent have been consistently raised amongst our community.
”External factors, including competition for top talent and a changing workforce demographic, continue to impact the claims community.
”The LMA’s claims awards are a great way for us to elevate the claims proposition by spotlighting the rising stars of our industry, showcasing the diversity of the sector, and bringing together the London market claims community.”
