’These promotions are very well deserved and I am delighted that we can recognise and reward our hard-working and dedicated employees,’ says chief executive
Lloyd’s broker Tysers has made several senior promotions within its marine and aviation division.
Craig Cox and Tom Walker have been appointed joint deputy managing directors, Amos Brattle has taken on the role of head of cargo and Mark Rees has been named head of hull and war.
Tysers felt the moves would strengthen its position as a marine broker across international markets and reflected its “commitment to advancing the careers of internal talent”.
Tom Wilson, chief executive at Tysers, said: “Tysers has a unique culture which is intrinsic to attracting and retaining the very best talent in the market.
“These promotions are very well deserved and I am delighted that we can recognise and reward our hard-working and dedicated employees who deliver exceptional service to our clients and reflect the very best of our ambitious and supportive culture.”
Resignations
This comes after Tysers revealed on 5 March 2025 that a small team from its property and casualty department in London and Dubai have resigned.

The firm intends for them to work through their notice periods to the full and to enforce the employment restraints.
Wilson said: “Our clients are our priority and, despite this minor development, we will continue to provide them with the comprehensive and superior solutions that Tysers is renowned for.
“We have exceptionally talented and committed teams with unique strengths and capabilities and will continue to build out our client offerings to meet the increasing demand for our specialist insurance expertise in the London and international markets.”
