’Increasingly, we’re talking to brokers who are considering a sale,’ says retail managing director
Insurance distribution business Jensten has acquired White Rose Insurance Solutions as part of plans to expand one of its regional centres of excellence, a statement released yesterday (18 October 2023) said.
Broker White Rose was established in September 2001 and serves commercial and private clients across north Yorkshire from its offices in Skipton and Settle.
The business also trades as South Lakes Insurance Solutions from its office in Kendal.
Jensten said that acquiring the firm would see its regional centre of excellence in Yorkshire and Humberside grow with additional offices and teams.
Rob Organ, Jensten retail managing director, added: “Increasingly, we’re talking to brokers who are considering a sale and want to sell to a business that has a clear commitment to retaining a regional presence, providing certainty to their people and clients.
”Our strategy of growing regional centres of excellence fits well with these businesses. We’re delighted to welcome the White Rose team to the business as we continue to build our presence in Yorkshire.”
’Perfect fit’
This came after Jensten bolstered its presence in the region last year (19 July 2022) with the acquisition of Ravenhall Risk Solutions.

The move, which gave Jensten more offices in Bradford and Leeds, saw Neil Grimshaw take on the role of regional managing director at the insurance distribution business.
Grimshaw said White Rose was a ”perfect fit for our growing region” and provides ”foundations for growth in north Yorkshire”.
”White Rose is a well-regarded broker whose commitment to servicing customers to the highest possible standard is clear throughout the business,” he added.
As part of the deal, Andy Gould, White Rose’s managing director, will report into Grimshaw.
”From the beginning of our conversations with Jensten, it was clear that becoming part of the group was the right route for the business in its next chapter,” Gould said.
”Throughout the process, the Jensten team has focused on our people, our culture and our clients.”
