Retail managing director says the deal will strengthen Jensten’s portfolio with ’new unique scheme and niche personal lines capabilities’
Jensten Group has continued its acquisition spree with the purchase of Chris Knott Insurance Consultants.
Broker Chris Knott caters to both personal and commercial clients and runs several schemes, including one that focuses on classic cars and owners club vehicles.
The firm also provides tailored solutions for small charities, allotments, canine-related activities and photographers.
Jensten said the deal will bring a team of 19 professionals and an office in Hastings to the group, as well as an additional £6.1m in gross written premium (GWP).
The acquisition also forms part of the distribution business’ strategic regional expansion across the UK.
Other firms it has acquired as part of this strategy during 2024 include Melville Burbage, Henry Seymour and Co, Scrutton Bland and Berns Brett.
Speaking about Jensten’s latest deal, Rob Organ, retail managing director, said: “The acquisition of Chris Knott represents a significant step forward in our strategic efforts to strengthen our presence in the London and South East region.
“This acquisition not only enhances the scale and reach of our commercial lines division but, by integrating Chris Knott’s expertise in classic cars and owners club vehicles, also enriches our portfolio with new unique scheme and niche personal lines capabilities.
“We look forward to welcoming the Chris Knott team to the Jensten family.”

Upon Chris Knott integrating with Jensten, the schemes-based niche personal lines business will report into Karl Scott, managing director for personal lines at Jensten.
