Letters will be sent to all current policyholders about the situation
Saga has sold its caravan insurance book after deciding to no longer sell such cover to customers.
The firm decided that it would no longer offer caravan insurance for all policyholders from 1 June 2024.
As a result, it has sold the book to the Caravan and Motorhome Club, which has 50 years of experience in providing such cover.
A process of cancelling Saga insurance policies and replacing them with caravan covers with the Caravan and Motorhome Club is currently underway.
As long as cover details remain the same, policyholders will get a comprehensive level of caravan cover at the same price as last year.
Letters will be sent to all current Saga policyholders.
Mark Pearson, director of finance, insurance and management services at the Caravan and Motorhome Club, said: “The Caravan and Motorhome Club is delighted to offer a safe haven for people with expiring Saga caravan policies.
”It was gratifying that Saga recognised the club as a like-minded high quality organisation who puts members at the heart of all it does.”
