’We will continue to build a market leading operational platform for underwriting,’ says chief executive
Specialist insurer Atrium has announced a series of leadership changes due to two c-suites exiting the business.
Group chief operating officer James Lee will be retiring at the end of 2024, while chief information officer Justin Emrich will retire at the end of March 2025.
As a result, Atrium has announced three changes to its leadership team.
Among them include James Cox, with him succeeding Lee and taking up the role of group chief operating officer from 1 January 2025.
He will also continue hold the responsibilities he has in his current role as managing director.
Meanwhile, Jason Townshend, who currently serves as agency chief operating officer, will take on additional responsibility for the IT and data management teams when Emrich retires.
Finally, Emma Walter has been promoted to the role of head of digital technology and will assist Townshend. She was most recently delivery manager, a role she held for seven years.
John Fowle, chief executive at Atrium, said: “Many congratulations to Cox, Townshend and Walter on their new responsibilities.
“Building on Lee and Emrich’s legacy, we will continue to build a market leading operational platform for underwriting at Lloyd’s.
“I’d also like to thank Lee and Emrich for their tremendous contributions to Atrium over many years.”
