Jamie Lewis, managing director at Jensten Underwriting, talks about the company’s entry for MGA of the Year award
1. Why did you put yourselves forward for the MGA of the Year category?
It’s been a landmark year for Jensten and we felt it was time to shout about this. That’s why we have put ourselves forward.
Not only have we made further improvements to our service levels and seen an increase in customer satisfaction scores from our broker partners as a result, but we’ve also launched a number of new products and delivered underwritten profit for our capacity providers too.
All the while, we are growing the business organically and welcoming new acquisitions.
2. What do you think makes your entry stand out and why should you win the award?
Our entry stands out for the exceptional service we provide and our accessibility. We pride ourselves on being highly collaborative, working closely with partner brokers to ensure their clients’ needs are met.
Our brokers can also connect directly with decision-makers, avoiding the obstacles that can slow down service elsewhere. We don’t rely on call centres – brokers have direct access to a team member ready to offer common sense support.
This approach has earned us industry recognition and is a key reason why we believe we should win the award – our service truly makes a difference to brokers and their clients.
3. What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?
Winning this award would be such fantastic recognition for every member of staff who has contributed to the success of our business.
It has only been made possible by the amazing team of people we have at Jensten. Making Jensten a great place to work through our employee value proposition is the bedrock for the fantastic staff engagement scores we see.
To win on the night of the industry’s most prestigious awards ceremony would be the cherry on top of the cake for us!
