1. Why did you put yourselves forward for the Excellence in Technology – Data Focused Service Provider award?

We wanted to showcase the impact we are having on the market and how our platform benefits clients.

Matt Scott,. co-founder at Insurance DataLab

Insurance DataLab delivers credible, comparable, and digestible information on the performance of insurance companies – from underwriting and claims to complaints and customer experience – to help our clients make better data-driven decisions.

This award is an excellent opportunity to highlight our innovative work and its role in driving the industry forward.

2. What do you think makes your entry stand out and why should you win the award?

No one else is doing what we do, which the judges recognised when we won the Excellence in Data Analytics award at the Tech and Innovation Awards earlier this year.

Our platform helps insurers better understand both the market and their own performance. With the FCA becoming more interventionist under Consumer Duty, having this intelligence readily available has never been more important.

3. What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?

These awards mean so much to the winners and, as a relatively young startup, it would be excellent recognition of our efforts to deliver value for our clients.

It would represent a crucial milestone in our growth journey, validating our innovative approach and motivating us to continue driving positive change in the industry.

This award would reinforce our mission to empower clients with actionable insights and further establish our presence in the market.
