Ashleigh Gwilliam, director of insurance industry growth at FullCircl, discusses its partnership with Acturis and entry into the Business Partner of the Year award
1. Why did you put yourselves forward for the Business Partner of the Year category?
We have a unique and differentiated proposition to everyone else shortlisted in this category.
FullCircl and Acturis perfectly highlight the potential of a collaborative approach in which insurtechs not only work with insurance businesses, but with each other to solve the industry’s biggest challenges – which is exactly what we have achieved.
2. What do you think makes your entry stand out and why should you win the award?
What Blueprint Two is doing for Lloyd’s, the combined power of FullCircl and Acturis is doing for the wider market. We’re helping drive meaningful growth whilst cost-effectively improving compliance.
Without one version of the truth, insurance business are disadvantaged when it comes to tackling their biggest challenges – onboarding speeds, underwriting accuracy, underinsurance, customer experience, risk selection and meeting Consumer Duty rules.
This is not ideal at a time when they must align with evolving customer expectations, adapt to a changing competitive landscape and navigate shifting regulatory requirements.
The FCA demanded that the industry do something different to comply with Consumer Duty. The FullCircl and Acturis partnership is that “something different”.
3. What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?
It would be a fantastic endorsement of the work we’ve done to ensure our customers – nine of the top 10 brokers, 40 of the top 50 and over 300 independents – are positioned at the forefront of innovation.
We believe brokers, insurers and MGAs are better with data and this partnership makes data enrichment more accessible. To have this belief validated by a panel of industry experts would be the icing on the cake of what has been an outstanding year.
The UK is the world’s leading insurance hub – leading by example and changing the game. We’re proud to be part of that.
