Mark Thomas, chief executive at Compare My Insurance, discusses the firm’s reasons for entering the Digital Broker of the Year category
1. Why did you put yourselves forward for the Digital Broker of the Year category?
We see ourselves as a modern, digital broker and take pride in challenging what is possible in the insurance industry through harnessing the latest technology and balancing this with our large, dedicated team of experienced insurance professionals.
Both our ongoing investments into technology and our helpful, people-first approach with clients have seen us become one of the fastest-growing independent commercial brokers in the UK.
2. What do you think makes your entry stand out and why should you win the award?
We’ve worked hard to integrate the latest technologies to ensure our clients have a brilliant customer experience with us, as well as access to the best policies and most competitive rates.
We take immense pride in the long-term relationships we’ve cultivated with our clients and this is reflected in our 92% retention rates.
With this, we’ve also created over 20 new positions in the business and have 60% growth completely organically in the last 12 months, balancing our accelerated growth with maintaining an independent customer score of 4.7/5 with Feefo.
3. What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?
This would be an incredible form of recognition for our hard-working team, who have consistently gone above and beyond to exceed the expectations of our clients.
Compare is an independent business competing against much larger organisations and, as such, it would be an honour to receive such a prestigious award from Insurance Times, as well as a strong endorsement for our business for both new and existing clients.
