Scott Bennett, managing director at Bravo Networks, discusses the network’s entry for the Challenger of the Year award

1. Why did you put yourselves forward for the Challenger of the Year category?

Bravo Networks has delivered a highly successful initiative in Bravo Insights, which delivers real, innovative change for our members. Insights gives brokers the benefits of being part of a large organisation without surrendering their independence or losing control over their business.

Scott Bennett MD Bravo Networks

We’ve provided Bravo Networks members with a unique facility for integrating their policy administration system (PAS) data and closely matching appetite with the network’s partner insurers.

The benefits in terms of trading efficiency and the development of new business have been considerable for both sides, fostering stronger, deeper relationships between members and insurers and simultaneously providing better outcomes for their customers.

2. What do you think makes your entry stand out and why should you win the award?

The entry demonstrates Bravo’s continuous commitment to improving the services we provide for broker members and partner insurers, through developing groundbreaking new products.

Insights stands out because it adds value for both brokers and insurers. Brokers benefit from appetite-matching risks with insurer partners they want to trade with, optimising their placement strategy and enabling more efficient trading and reduced agency management.

Insurer partners benefit from delivering a more effective way to trade with local and community brokers, enabling proactive targeting of clients and more competitive terms. These improved relationships and a superior range of products help brokers deliver for their clients.

3. What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?

A welcome recognition of the hard work, professionalism and commitment of the Bravo Networks team. Every day, they deliver an innovative service to members, and Insights is central to the roles that our teams play, from system development, business development, through to our Bravo Navigator team. They all help members maximise their business. People with high quality skills are our strongest assets and deserve recognition.

The award would be an endorsement of an innovative product that has brought tremendous benefits including significantly upgraded efficiency, improved working relationships between broker members and our insurance partners and, most importantly, better client outcomes.
