Why have you entered the Excellence in Technology – Service Provider award?

We wanted to enter this award because excellence reflects all aspects of the solution we’ve developed with our partners Typhoon8.

The use of image recognition, machine learning and behavioural science has created a simple but effective solution to improve the customer journey and alleviate higher costs in flooring claims. No visit, no wait and cash claims can be settled in two hours.

I-value is quick and easy to use. The customer just needs access to a smartphone and a tape measure. Using computer vision learning, it’s 98% accurate in identifying all flooring types and materials and instantly provides a valuation and replacement cost.

The i-value app is a market first and undoubtedly demonstrates excellence in tech.

What do you think makes your entry stand out and why should you win the award?

Many features of the i-value app stand out.

The use of advanced image recognition and machine learning has enabled fully automated damage validation. This enables us to settle 80% of low-value flooring claims in 10 minutes .

Fulfilment is quick and easy – customers just use a QR code with Carpetright to choose their replacement product. For insurers, it reduces the cost of managing claims and is also a low-carbon solution, having saved over 50,000 miles in travel in its first year.

Smart and easy, i-value streamlines the claims process, improves the customer experience and saves everyone time and money.

What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?

The award would be great recognition for the team of people who worked hard to develop this and bring it to market.

Being able to deliver something truly unique is hard work and requires inspiration and perseverance.

Together with our development partners Typhoon8, we’re already working on the next evolution of the product and if we were to win the award, this would be fantastic recognition of the value already delivered and the potential for more.
