For the sixth day of advent, Duncan Pritchard, managing director at Commercial Express, discusses the MGA’s hopes for the new year
Every day for the festive period continuing until Christmas Eve, Insurance Times speaks to a selection of industry personalities about what they’d like to find under the tree.
1. What was your insurance industry highlight of 2024?
Without a doubt, Biba was the standout moment for us at Commercial Express this year. It felt like the industry equivalent of a festival – networking, big conversations and celebrating our shared successes.
For us, it was particularly rewarding to see our efforts resonate with brokers, gaining valuable feedback and recognition.
We left feeling inspired and even more determined to keep raising the bar – and maybe next year, we’ll bring better snacks to the stand.
2. What is your Christmas message for your insurance colleagues?
To our brokers, a heartfelt thank you for your continued dedication and support.
This year has been one of phenomenal growth for Commercial Express and we couldn’t have done it without your trust, collaboration and belief in us.
Wishing you all a fantastic festive season. May your Christmas be filled with joy and your new year start with inboxes full of good news – and fewer urgent emails.
3. What do you hope to find under the industry’s Christmas tree for 2025?
An improved claims service across the market would be the ultimate gift. It’s what helps maintain trust in our industry and ensures we’re truly there for people when they need us most.
Plus, fewer delays would mean fewer stressed-out phone calls – and who wouldn’t want that? Here’s hoping Santa’s elves are working on streamlining processes for us all!
