‘This is a strategically important acquisition for us’, says group marketing director

Insurance distribution business Jensten Group has acquired specialist insurance telemarketing business More Telemarketing.

In a statement released yesterday (6 July 2023), Jensten said the move would drive organic growth across the retail division, which consists of regional and specialist centres of excellence.

Marketing director James Hill added that “this is a strategically important acquisition for us”.

“By combining More’s lead generation expertise and technology with our data capabilities, sector-specific propositions and regional centres of excellence, we’ve built a capability to drive further significant growth at pace,” he explained.

Moves

More Telemarketing managing director Mark Powell will remain with the business in a newly created role of lead generation director.

Powell, who will report to Hill, will also focus on generating new opportunities in specific sectors.

”Over the past five years we’ve built a capable team and an operating model that delivers consistent results,” he said.

“Joining Jensten makes strategic sense for us; combining our joint expertise and abilities creates a capability that is greater than the sum of its parts.

“We’re really excited to work with the team to deliver growth.”

Broader approach

Jensten has made a number of acquisitions so far this year, inclduing Coversure Poole last month (2 June 2023) and Darwin Clayton on 1 March 2023.

It also announced its acquisition of Simpson and Pasons earlier this week (4 July 2023), which became its sixth regional centre of excellence.

Alistair Hardie, Jensten’s chief executive, said the ability to ”continually generate new business opportunities is hugely important to us”.

Speaking about its purchase of More Telemarketing, he added: ”This acquisition is reflective of our broader approach across the group - to build lead generation and growth capability for all parts of our business.

”In a crowded marketplace we know our innovative approach makes us stand out to clients, potential employees and brokers looking for a home.”
