Bspoke has gone on a hiring spree as it announced the appointments of multiple employees previously employed by Groves John Westrup Private Clients (GJW).
Staff from the Munich-Re owned managing general agent (MGA) that have been snapped up by Bspoke will join its private clients arm.
Among them is former GJW head of underwriting Stuart Bromley, who has been appointed director of high net worth (HNW) – he will report directly to Bspoke Private Clients managing director Adrian Ewington.
Bromley will be joined by ex-GJW underwriters Nick Gildea and Isaac Moore, who will both focus on writing HNW business.
Former GJW strategic relationship manager Matt Dewing, meanwhile, will lead the broker distribution strategy.
Ewington said: “Bringing Bromley and his former colleagues on board continues our growth strategy, enabling us to significantly enhance our presence in the HNW market.

Experience
Bromley has over 16 years underwriting experience, having previously held roles at NIG Commercial, Plum Underwriting, MS Amlin and Munich Re.

He became head of underwriting at GJW in 2020.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
