HugHub chief executive Jonathan Davey has announced that he will be retiring.
Davey has been the top boss of the Insurtech 50 firm for eight years, with him having joined shortly after it was founded in 2016.
He announced that he would be retiring on LinkedIn over the weekend (27 April 2024), saying that he was turning “the page on an enriching and fulfilling chapter with HugHub”.
”I’m embracing the liberating world of retirement,” Davey said.
”It’s been a journey of growth, challenges and rewards, and I’m grateful for every step that has led to this exciting moment.”
Experience
Prior to HugHub, Davey served as a director for insurance software provider SSP, where he launched the industry’s first smartphone-based telematics private motor insurance policy in collaboration with Wunelli.

He was also the managing director of SSP-owned MGA Keychoice Underwriting for four years.
