Howden Re has appointed Nicolò Forcellini as a director within its Dach London team.
In his new role, Forcellini will aim to help the broker expand its facultative broking capabilities within the city.
He joins from Aon, where he has spent the last three years as a reinsurance broker.
In his new role, he will report to Tom Sharman, managing director of Howden Re fac.
‘Deep expertise’
Sharman said that Forcellini “strengthens our London facultative broking capabilities, reinforcing our position as a market leader in this space”.

“His deep expertise in cedent facultative reinsurance, particularly in international property and energy, enhances our ability to provide clients with specialist insight and local expertise, backed by Howden Re’s global platform,” he added.
Meanwhile, Marenco A. Scholz, managing director and regional head of fac for Dach and Benelux / France at Howden Re, said the appointment strenghtned the broker’s strategic expansion.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
