’This marks another significant milestone in our strategy,’ says chief executive
Howden-owned MGA Dual has launched a new European accident and health (A&H) business.
The MGA has launched the new division in response to rising demand for healthcare services and to help insurers and brokers expand their offerings.
Coverage on offer from the new arm will protect policyholders during sponsored activities and international travel.
Additionally, plans include 24/7 travel assistance for medical support, security aid and concierge services.
This enhances an “organisation’s general liability policy by addressing coverage gaps and offering broader limits”, Dual said.
The arm will be led by underwriter Samia Baliad, who has been with the firm for a year. She said: “Dual’s specialty A&H insurance provides tailored solutions to manage the risks of injuries associated with various activities, offering essential benefits for schools, daycare centers, youth organisations, sports teams and volunteer groups.”
Experience
Baliad brings over 20 years’ experience in the A&H sector, with her having held senior roles at AIG Europe France, Axa Corporate Solutions, Chubb Europe and Axa Partners.

She will focus on building a team of experienced underwriters to drive growth across Europe.
Olaf Jonda, chief executive at Dual Europe, said: “We are delighted to be expanding our A&H insurance business line in Europe.
“Baliad’s extensive experience and strategic approach makes her the perfect person to establish our A&H hub and bring more choice and new benefits to our broker partners.
“This marks another significant milestone in Dual Europe’s strategy to diversify our product offerings, to offer greater choice to our brokers and their clients in an expanding European market.”
