’We’ve created a standout full-service insurance broker, unrivalled in its quality, scale and reach across the UK,’ says statement
Welsh broker Watkin Davies has rebranded to Howden.
Watkin Davies was founded in 1978 by Roger Watkins and is based in Cardiff.
In 2021, the firm was acquired by Howden-owned A-Plan, which went onto to be renamed Howden in 2023.
A statement said that Watkin Davies had become another brand under A-Plan to merge into Howden, with the move being complete on 19 October 2024.
The statement, which was released on Howden’s website, also confirmed that Howden would be the new name for the Welsh broker.
It said: “On October 19th 2024, Watkin Davies completed its merger with Howden. For Watkin Davies clients, the service remains the same, via your usual contacts. Watkin Davies’ phone numbers and email addresses continue to work.
“One of the reasons Watkin Davies and Howden are such a good fit is our shared value of care – care for our clients, the community and our employees.
“Together, we’ve created a standout full-service insurance broker, unrivalled in its quality, scale and reach across the UK.”
