The new appointee ’has a proven track record of achieving great client and management results,’ says chief placement officer
The Corporate and Commercial arm of Howden UK and Ireland has appointed Paul Hipson to the newly created role of head of London broking.
Effective from this month (June 2024), Hipson’s appointment will see him take responsibility for the existing London broking team and be tasked with growing the firm’s broking operation nationally.
The new role will be taken up in addition to Hipson’s existing responsibilities as head of the existing business team at Howden’s London corporate division.
This blend of responsibilities has been reflected in his new title – head of London corporate and broking.
Hipson has worked for Howden for nearly 21 years, with his stint continuing over from Aston Lark, which became Howden Corporate and Commercial following an acquisition in 2021 and subsequent rebrand in October 2023.
He has held a selection of roles, including account handler, account executive and manager.
Passionate about broking
Hipson’s appointment follows the promotion of Paul Hasib to chief placement officer for Howden Corporate and Commercial in April 2024. Hipson will report into Hasib and work alongside the placement team.
