’I’m excited to take on this new challenge at what is an exciting time for the group,’ says new appointee
Hiscox has appointed Craig Martindale as its new chief actuary.
A statement announcing the move yesterday (9 May 2023) said Martindale will be responsible for bringing together the capital management and actuarial reserving teams.
He will lead a team of 50 and report to the group’s chief financial officer Paul Cooper.
“I’m excited to take on this new challenge at what is an exciting time for the group, as we face attractive market conditions with real capital and reserving strength,” Martindale said.
’Wealth of knowledge’
Martindale joined Hiscox in July 2009 and held senior roles across the business, including head of capital management and interim chief investment officer.
