The GRP hub continues its successful acquisition trail from last year
Personal and commercial insurer Green Insurance Group, the South Eastern hub broker for Global Risk Partners (GRP), has acquired 100% of the share capital of Hastings-based retail broker Manor Insurance Services.
The purchase marks Green Insurance Group’s first acquisition for 2020.
Last year, the insurer bought Millards, Clifton Morley and Reid Briggs. Since Green Insurance Group joined GRP in June 2017, it has completed seven deals in total.
Green Insurance Group, which has been operational for 40 years, operates in Kent and Sussex.
Acquisitional growth
Founded in 1990, Manor Insurance Services offers small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) and personal line products, including home, motor, charity, business and travel insurances.
Current owner Ian Mantel, plus the existing workforce, will all transition into Green Insurance Group – this will include a move to the insurer’s regional central office in Bexhill.
Duncan Coleman, chief executive at Green Insurance Group, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Ian and his colleagues to Greens.
“Manor is the latest in a number of targets we have identified and now completed for the South Eastern region, and our appetite for more acquisitions is as strong as ever.”
GRP group managing director Mike Bruce added: “Duncan is hugely ambitious for Greens to become a major player in the South East of the UK, and he has our full support and backing to continue driving growth organically and by further strategic acquisitions.
“Greens is the embodiment of our successful hub and spoke strategy and I am confident that, thanks to a strong pipeline, more deals will be announced.”
