New managing director Rob Ashburn was most recently trading director at Towergate’s SME division
GRP hub broker Green Insurance has recruited Rob Ashburn as managing director.
Green Insurance is based in Bexhill, Sussex, with a team of 80 staff located in branches around the south east of England.
Ashburn has over 20 years of broking and senior management experience, most recently as trading director of Towergate’s SME division.
Ashburn will join the senior management team, reporting to chief executive Duncan Coleman and chairman Clive Galbraith. Green has grown through acquisition in recent years and Ashburn will oversee the integration of future planned acquisitions in his role.
Ashburn said: “Greens is a quality broker with a great reputation in the market for looking after their clients.
“They have some exciting plans in place and this was too good an opportunity for me to pass up.”
Coleman added: “Rob will bring drive and valuable experience to our senior management team. Our pipeline of acquisitions for 2019 is looking very healthy, and Rob’s appointment will give us the capacity we need to ensure we bring these on board and integrate them effectively whilst keeping our eye on the ball with organic growth.”
Mike Bruce, GRP group managing director agreed: “Rob has great operational and commercial experience having successfully run and grown a broking operation with over 200 staff.
“He will be a great asset to the business helping Duncan and Clive to take Green Insurance on to the next step of its development.”
