’He is uniquely positioned to take on the chief operating officer role and help lead FM into the future,’ says chairman
Global property insurer FM has appointed Randy Hodge as its new chief operating officer.
Hodge will succeed Bret Ahnell, who will retire from the firm in March 2025.
Hodge joined FM in 1990 and has served in multiple staff and operations roles. This includes field engineer, group manager of field engineering, account manager, assistant client service manager and client service manager.
He currently serves as vice president of staff insurance operations at FM, a position he has held since July 2021.
He will assume his new role on 1 December 2024 and be responsible for overseeing FM’s staff insurance operations, enterprise services and the strategy for business transformation.
The appointee will also take charge of FM’s innovation, information technology and digital transformation functions.
And when Hodge takes up his new position, he will report to Malcolm Roberts, chairman and chief executive at FM.
Roberts said: “With Hodge’s deep knowledge of FM and long track record of delivering industry-leading solutions and services to our clients, he is uniquely positioned to take on the chief operating officer role and help lead FM into the future.”
