‘Corporate chartered status is a key component in building public trust and a true mark of professionalism’, says professional standards manager
The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has granted five financial planning and insurance firms corporate chartered status, a statement released yesterday (19 July 2023) revealed.
The CII said corporate chartered status was a symbol of ”technical competence and signifies a public commitment to professional standards”.
The institute revealed that between May and June 2023, it awarded Astute Wealth Planning, BPW Insurance Services, East Anglian Financial Planning, Hargreaves Lansdown and Synthesis Wealth Management with the status.
Rebecca Aston, professional standards manager at the CII, said that “corporate chartered status is a key component in building public trust and a true mark of professionalism”.
‘Chartered Ethos’
The CII’s corporate status involves a public declaration to professional standards containing a series of commitments – such as ongoing people development, a customer-centric approach and supporting initiatives that build public trust.

“In achieving corporate chartered status, they have each made a public declaration to professional standards and committed to upholding the chartered ethos of nurturing knowledge, client centricity and serving society,” said Aston.
Meanwhile, the commitments that the CII makes to those with chartered status include providing relevant learning and developing thought leadership.
“We are very pleased and proud to welcome these five firms into our chartered community,” Aston added.
