FCA issues double warning of unauthorised insurance firms operating through Instagram

The FCA has issued two warnings today of unauthorised firms operating through Instagram.

Cheap Insurance Broker and B1 Insurance were both highlighted by the FCA as providing financial services or products in the UK without its authorisation.

Cheap Insurance Broker was operating from two Instagram pages – one by the name of Instant Insurance and one by the name of Cheap Insurance Broker.

B1 Insurance was on Instagram under the name B1 Insurance, and on Facebook under the name BConsultancy.

The FCA issued a further warning today of an unauthorised firm going by the name of Complete Protection Cover.

The FCA warned of of all three, stating: “Some firms act without our authorisation and some knowingly run investment scams.”
