Managers have until 11am on Saturday (23 November) to sort their teams, with game week 12 kicking off at 12:30pm
With the last international break of the year having now ended, Premier League football will be returning to our TV screens this weekend.
And that means one thing – it’s time for all of us to get our manager hats back on and sort our Fantasy Football teams.
Managers have until 11am on Saturday (23 November) to sort their teams, with game week 12 kicking off at 12:30pm.
There has been plenty of movement in the Insurance Times table over the last few weeks and with this week the start of fixture swings for some clubs, transfers are going to be key.
Players
So, what players are worth looking at? For me, top of the list has to be Mohammed Salah.
Liverpool face bottom of the table Southampton this week and next week the team take on Manchester City.
And even though Manchester City are the defending champions, they have struggled defensively since Rodri went out injured. And with Salah having returned in all but one of his matches since game week six, not only is he a good pick for the next few weeks, but also a very solid captaincy choice.
Meanwhile, Manchester United seem to have returned to some form – and Bruno Fernandes managed to secure 27 points over the last two weeks.
The team also have a new manager and a favourable run of fixtures coming up, with them taking on Ipswich and Everton in the next few weeks.
So, Fernandes could be an option for Fantasy, as well as defenders from the team as well.
Meanwhile, Chelsea take on Leicester, Aston Villa and Southampton in the next few weeks – and we all know that Cole Palmer is capable of a big points haul in just one week. So, he is certainly a good choice, as is Manchester City forward Erling Haaland.
While he had an insane start to the season, with him bagging goal after goal and two hattricks in a row, things haven’t been as smooth in the last few weeks, with him only securing two returns since game week six.
But, we all know what Haaland is capable of and while he is the most expensive player in Fantasy, a lot of goals could be coming following that long international break.
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
