’Her extensive experience and people-centric approach make her a perfect fit for SRG,’ says managing director

Nicola Holmes has joined Specialist Risk Group (SRG) after leaving Hiscox.

Holmes, who departed Hiscox in January 2025, joins SRG as director of niches and schemes for its UK retail pillar, Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions (SRIS).

She joins following 18 years at Hiscox, with her having joined the insurer in 2007 as a scheme analyst.

Holmes went onto hold a range of roles with the insurer, including schemes manager, networks strategic accounts manager and branch manager for Colchester.

Most recently, she was the head of broker for the art and private client division.

Speaking about her new role at SRG, Holmes said: “I am excited to become part of a company that places such a strong emphasis on its people and culture.

“SRG’s dedication to fostering talent and encouraging innovation resonates deeply with my own values and I look forward to working with the many specialist teams we have across SRIS, as we contribute to the group’s continued success.”

SRG said appointing Holmes showed its “commitment to investing in top industry talent and expanding its specialist solutions for clients across the UK and internationally”.
