Specialist MGA Qlaims has appointed Tom Bartleet as its new non-executive director.
Bartleet began his insurance career at Willis in 1992. In 2012, he acquired Chesham Insurance Brokers, rebranding it as Erskine Murray Insurance Brokers in 2016.
As chief executive, he led the firm’s growth, acquiring a number of insurance businesses such as Offley Insurance Brokers and Asciak Holdaway Merritt, before selling to PIB Group in 2020.
More recently, he ran in the 2024 general election as the Liberal Democrat candidate for South Suffolk. He finished in fourth place with 6,424 votes.
Speaking about joining Qlaims, Bartleet said: “Qlaims is a fantastic business with significant potential.
