He has 30 years of industry experience including having worked at Bollington, Carole Nash and AXA
Specialist motor insurer ERS has appointed Francois-Xavier Boisseau, the former chief executive of Ageas UK, to its board effective immediately.
Boisseau also serves on the board of Argo Lloyd’s Managing Agency as its non-executive director and as a non-executive director at Ecclesiastical.
His appointment is ERS’ second high-profile addition to its board in 2020, following the recent appointment of Amanda Blanc as chair of ERS.
Blanc and Jeff Greenberg, chairman and chief executive at Aquiline Capital Partners; and chairman at ERS DGB, ERS’ holding company, welcomed Boisseau to the board and the ERS team.
Great addition
Boisseau brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the role, having previously worked at Groupama, Ageas UK, Bollington, Lark, Carole Nash and AXA.
Boisseau said: “ERS has an excellent reputation for specialist motor insurance amongst insurers and brokers. I’m honoured to join an organisation with such specialist expertise, strong technology infrastructure and an appetite for growth”.
Greenberg said: “His deep knowledge of the industry will be a valuable addition to the board and will help the company continue to strengthen its position in the market.”
Meanwhile Blanc added: ”Having known him in the UK market for the last 20 years, he brings a strong track record from both insurers and brokers, which will be a great addition as ERS continues to grow in its specialist classes”.
ERS DGB is majority owned by Aquiline Capital Partners – a private equity firm based in New York and London which invests in businesses globally across financial services and technology. It invested in ERS DGB back in 2013.
