The two new starters have a combined 19 years of industry experience
Global reinsurance, wholesale and specialty broker Ed has appointed Chloe Cox and Alex Atkinson as its new divisional directors for its London-based professional and executive risk team, effective immediately.
The duo, reporting in to the professional and executive risk team’s specialty director James Baird, will be responsible for developing and expanding the firm’s North American and Australian/New Zealand wholesale book.
Cox and Atkinson have a combined 19 years of industry experience to bring to Ed.
Cox formerly worked as an associate at Marsh JLT Specialty, where she specialised in directors’ and officers’ (D&O), employment practices liability (EPL), pension trustee liability (PTL) and public offering of securities insurances.
Atkinson most recently acted as a director at Gallagher subsidiary Alesco; his main focus was professional indemnity insurance. In this role, he also placed a portfolio of Australian and New Zealand binders and facilities into London.
Prior to this, he was an account executive at Willis Towers Watson Australia.
Baird said: “Growing the professional and executive risk book is part of a long-term growth strategy for Ed.
“In nearly three years of expanding our wholesale offering, our team has forged some very good relationships with broking partners and Chloe and Alex will play an integral part in helping us to continue to develop these relationships.
“The combination of their wholesale broking background, our strong service delivery approach and our existing highly experienced team will ensure that clients can continue to rely on us to help them navigate these more challenging trading conditions.”
