The scheme took effect from Thursday 1 December and forms part of the specialist insurer’s ‘ambitious’ growth plans, says corporate buisness director
Specialist insurer Ecclesiastical Insurance has taken over broker network Brokerbility’s Bricks and Mortar scheme.
The transfer took less than eight weeks to complete and took effect from Thursday 1 December, ahead of January 2023 renewals beginning.
Existing agreements will automatically move to the new scheme using the same policy number.
Tony Fletcher, corporate business director at Ecclesiastical Insurance, said: “I’m delighted to announce this partnership with Brokerbility. We’ve worked hard to get this up and running in less than eight weeks, which is a testament to everyone’s hard work.
“The transfer of this successful scheme to Ecclesiastical continues our drive to take on both existing schemes that have a strong track record and new schemes that have good growth potential.
“This is a really exciting time for us as a business and we’ve got ambitious plans for our growth within the schemes space. We’re targeting sustainable growth within our portfolio and right now there is a great opportunity for us to achieve that by working closely with brokers and MGAs to help them solve some of their current challenges.”
Ecclesiastical has been in the schemes market for more than 30 years and has over 80 live schemes on its books.
Brokerbility’s director of operations and scheme Michelle South added: “Ecclesiastical are a very welcome addition to the Brokerbility stable. A partner with shared values and quality at the heart of everything they do which will provide our members with a truly exclusive proposition for their clients.”
