Chief executive says the insurer is ’delivering a key pillar of its corporate strategy’
The Direct Line brand has officially gone live on price comparison website (PCW) Compare the Market.
In July 2024, Direct Line Group (DLG) announced it would launch its signature brand on PCWs to grow its motor business.
And DLG confirmed today (20 December 2024) that Direct Line had started quoting on Compare the Market, with three new products being made available for consumers.
They offer a range of cover options, from essentials through to premium, and have been specifically designed for customers purchasing through PCWs.
“They offer distinct cover features from the motor insurance products that are also available to customers who purchase direct,” the insurer said.
“One key differential is the new products provide digital only servicing, apart from claims, where a telephone service remains.”
Strategy
DLG wanted to launch Direct Line on PCWs after finding that it is where 90% of new motor insurance policies are purchased.

He added: “It is exciting to be launching our iconic Direct Line brand on PCWs, enabling customers to buy Direct Line motor insurance through their preferred channel.”
