Samuel Day is leaving his role as interim chief marketing officer at Direct Line Group (DLG).
Day joined the insurer in January 2024 and was responsible for leading the marketing strategy across its personal and business insurance brands.
He has decided to leave the firm to become the new chief audience and growth officer at German car marketplace Mobile.de.
In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the company’s marketing activities in the consumer and car dealership segments.
“Mobile.de is one of the most dynamic digital companies in Germany, with a strong market position and an exceptional customer offering,” Day said.
“I see significant growth potential in the coming years and look forward to helping shape the next chapter of the company’s success.”
Experience
Day, who is set to take up his new role on 1 April 2025, has 29 years of marketing experience.

Before DLG, he served as the chief marketing officer at Confused.com, as well as the head of B2B marketing at Microsoft.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
