’He leaves with our sincere thanks and best wishes for the future,’ says insurer
Direct Line Group (DLG) has confirmed that Ash Jokhoo will be leaving the insurer at the end of 2024.
Jokhoo joined the business in November 2021 and has held the role of chief information officer for the last three years.
He joined from Virgin Atlantic, where he was chief data and information officer for two years.
Jokhoo has decided to leave DLG to pursue new opportunities.
A statement from the insurer said: “We can confirm Jokhoo will be leaving DLG at the end of the year to explore other opportunities.
“He leaves with our sincere thanks and best wishes for the future.”

His departure comes following a range of new appointments at DLG.

For example, in May 2024, Hugh Hessing moved into the position of chief operating officer, while Craig Thornton became managing director for home and growth and Martin Milliner became managing director of claims.
The firm also appointed ex-Aviva c-suite Maz Bown as its new group chief risk officer, Lucy Johnson as managing director for motor and Dhruv Gahlaut as chief strategy and investor relations officer.
And in October 2024, former Aviva c-suite Jane Poole was appointed as chief financial officer.
Speaking when DLG released its financial results last week (11 November 2024), chief executive Adam Winslow said: “I’m pleased with the strategic and operational progress we are making across the business.
“I’m delighted that Poole recently joined as CFO and is already focused on reviewing our financial strategies, policies and controls. In total, we have hired eight new executive leadership team members, six of whom have already started.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
