The new appointee will help ‘identify and capitalise on commercial and investment opportunities,’ a statement said
Specialist reinsurance MGA Connect Underwriting has appointed Ahsan Abdul Majid as the chief commercial officer of its newly launched holding company.
ConnectUW Holdings was set up to manage the group’s investment strategy, including capital raising while leveraging strategic opportunities and initiatives.
It has been established as a parent company for the group’s expanding insurance entities in the London market, Connect said.
As chief commercial officer, Majid will work alongside the group’s chairman and chief executive Jamil Elbahou.
Together they will “identify and capitalise on commercial and investment opportunities, as well as having a broad business development role for the group in the international markets,” a statement said.
