’We’ve talked to our policyholders and looked very closely at what they need from our motor breakdown products,’ says general manager
Motorhome and campervan specialist Comfort Insurance has revamped its breakdown policies with the help of legal expenses insurance provider Arag.
The enhanced products have increased limits of indemnity for overnight accommodation in the UK and Europe, as well as a higher aggregate limit for up to six claims per year.
The annual limit has also been doubled to £10,000 due to the increased costs of recovering campervans and motorhomes.
Ben Cue, general manager and director of operations at Comfort, said: “We’ve talked to our policyholders and looked very closely at what they need from our motor breakdown products.
”It’s not just about the various refinements that we’ve made to the claims limits and cover. We’ve focused on how the service is delivered, especially overseas, where breakdowns are inevitably a bit more stressful.”
Legal protection
Meanwhile, Arag will also deliver the Comfort Legal Protection cover in Comfort’s motorhome and campervan policies, which provides legal advice and assistance in the event of an accident, motor prosecution or contract dispute involving the insured vehicle.

“The team at Arag has really worked with us to build a solution that covers all the bases,” Cue said.
Arag sales manager Matt Warren added: “Arag has built a reputation as the specialist for specialists and Comfort is a great example of a brand that really knows its niche and strives to deliver the absolute best products available.
”It’s been a pleasure working with them and contributing to something that will stand out in their market and truly benefit their policyholders.”
